The 2008 Conference will focus on early, translational and proof-of-concept studies, including statistically-driven "Go/No Go" decisions. The Conference will bring together leading scientists who will make presentations and lead open discussions on state-of-the-art and developing methods. A range of topics linked closely to translational medicine will be examined. The Conference will conclude with a panel discussion to synthesize and challenge earlier presentations, as well as to propose future directions. Scholarly exchange of ideas and lively discussions are expected. Participants from academic institutions, industry and governmental agencies with interest in contributing to these discussions are encouraged to register.

Venue, Housing, Registration and Fees:
The Conference will be held at the Biomedical Research Building Auditorium, 421 Curie Boulevard, on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The closest public parking to the Biomedical Research Building is Lot 51, located at University Avenue and Civic Center Blvd.

The Hilton Inn at Penn and Sheraton University City are located within easy walking distance. A limited number of rooms have been secured at the Sheraton University City (reservations by phone - 1-877-459-1146) at a discounted rate of $180 under the name "Issues in Clinical Trials". The cut-off date for booking at the reduced rate is March 7, 2008. Many alternative hotels in Center City Philadelphia, are also a short distance from the UPenn campus. Participants are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as soon as possible.

Registration is limited to 150 participants. The deadline for submitting a registration form and applicable fee is April 4, 2008. Conference Fee (includes breakfast, lunch, breaks): $160 Industry, $100 Academic and Government. Please note that checks only will be accepted for the conference fee.

UPDATE - 2/26/08: The Conference is has reached the number of allowable participants. Registration is no longer open. If you are interested in being placed on the waiting list, please contact Donna Zikowitz (see below).

If you need to cancel your registration to the conference, your request must be received by March 25, 2008 in order to receive a full refund. After this date no refunds will be given.
