Research Statement
Dr. Gimotty's research focuses on statistical methods and their applications in cancer translational research, prevention and control, and risk assessment. She is currently the Biometrics Core Director for the Wistar/Penn SPORE on Skin Cancer collaborates with cancer research investigators nationally and internationally. Her primary research interests include categorical and survival analysis, model assessment, classification trees, longitudinal data, evaluating diagnostic tests and methods for incomplete data. She currently is a co-principal investigator on a project to use novel biostatistical methods to identify new prognostic biomarkers for melanoma.
