Degree Programs in Epidemiology
The graduate training programs in epidemiology offered by the CCEB/DBE are geared toward medical professionals interested in pursuing careers in clinical research. The student body is primarily comprised of medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate students. The pace of each graduate training program is quite rapid, as advantage is taken of the trainees' previous experience, maturity, and independence. The objectives of these clinical research training programs are to:
- produce a cadre of skilled investigators trained to conduct formal epidemiologic studies and prepared for academic research careers
- produce national leaders in academic medical and health services research

Admissions
Admissions requirements for the Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) degree reflect the emphasis on integrating epidemiology and clinical practice. Individuals admitted into either program must have an advanced degree in medicine, nursing, or another health-related field, from an accredited college or university.
