MAGIC: Grant Aims

MAGIC Grants (R01-CA102776 to Penn, R01 CA74415 to UCI):

Aims:

1. Evaluate whether candidate genes alter the characteristics of breast cancers and therefore may be involved in the natural history of breast tumors in these women.
2. Evaluate whether candidate genes are associated with altered breast cancer risk.
3. Evaluate whether candidate genes predict cancer site.

1. Rad51 modifier analyses: confirmation and association with region of mutation
2. IGF Pathways (UCI-Neuhausen)
3. DNA Damage/Repair (Penn-Rebbeck, Nathanson)
