Biostatistics Analysis Center Resources and Environment
The physical environment of the Biostatistics Analysis Center (BAC) consists of one floor (approximately 5000 square feet) in the CCEB complemented by computing hardware and software within the CCEB computing environment. The CCEB manages a state-of-the-art research computing facility to support biostatistical, epidemiologic, basic, clinical and translational health research. All technologies used within the CCEB are production quality and fully supported externally by the respective vendors, ensuring that current technologies are readily available for use on a project, as appropriate.
The CCEB's computing environment is managed by the Clinical Research Computing Unit (CRCU), a designated "Core Research Facility" situated within the CCEB. The CRCU offers two distinct types of services: research computing as well as data and project management for clinical trials, epidemiologic studies, and cooperative basic-science studies; and research computing and information technology support to faculty, fellows, trainees, and staff within the CCEB.
The BAC also supports CCEB researchers by providing formal BAC Statements of Work and budgets for inclusion in formal grant submissions.
