BECC Directors and Operations
Thomas R. Ten Have, PhD, MPH, Faculty Director, is Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology and Senior Scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Ten Have makes referrals when specialized statistical expertise is required from other faculty in Biostatistics. The biostatistics faculty have expertise across a wide range of statistical methods and extensive experience working with biomedical and clinical investigators in diverse disciplines.
John T. Farrar, MD, PhD, MSCE, Associate Faculty Director, is Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Anesthesia and Senior Scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. When projects require specialized study design expertise, Dr. Farrar arranges for assistance, which generally comes from other faculty in Epidemiology.
Amy Praestgaard, Managing Director, who is generally the first contact for investigators submitting new requests, supervises daily operations in the BECC. Professional staff biostatisticians support the biostatistics and epidemiology faculty in conducting these consultations.
