Grant Proposal and Study Design Core Consultation for Research Proposals
Grant Proposal and Study Design Core (GPSDC) consultations and collaborations for research proposals are often provided by faculty members from the divisions of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, who are interested in collaborating with School of Medicine and health system investigators. Requests for BECC support for grant proposal development are processed on a case-by-case basis. Finding appropriate faculty for collaboration depends on faculty interest and availability. To receive proper attention, requests must be received as follows:
| Type of Grant | Month(s) Prior to Grant Submission Deadline |
|---|---|
| P01 & SCOR | 3 months |
| R01 & K Awards | 2 months |
| Smaller Statistical Sections | 1 month |
Please note that faculty may not be available for collaboration on grant proposal development unless these guidelines are followed.
Getting Started
To request support for an unfunded pilot study, please complete the BECC Collaboration Request Form, indicate that your project is not funded and clearly describe the scope and purpose of your request. In order to qualify for CTSA support, you must be a member of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT). You can access the ITMAT member request form here: http://www.itmat.upenn.edu/membership.shtml.
If you have questions, please feel free to raise them when you are contacted by the BECC Triage Manager about your collaboration request. You may also contact us directly.
