Upcoming Adobe License Changes
Beginning on May 13th, 2026, PSOM will be required to align Adobe Creative Cloud access with University licensing requirements. As a result of this change, PSOM will only be able to provide Adobe Creative Cloud licenses to active PSOM faculty and staff.
On May 13th, PSOM‑sponsored Adobe access for students, emeritus faculty, Penn Medicine health system employees, and external collaborators will be discontinued. Users impacted by this change will be notified separately and encouraged to transition their work and data before the effective date. Access for eligible faculty and staff will remain unchanged.
What’s Changing for PSOM
Effective May 13, ineligible users will lose access to their Adobe Creative Cloud license. Examples of ineligible users include:
- Students / Student Workers
- Retired and Emeritus faculty
- CPUP faculty/staff
- Penn Medicine health system employees
- External collaborators and affiliates
Individuals who will be losing access will be notified separately and encouraged to transition their work and data before the May 13 deadline.
Who Will Remain Eligible
After this change, access to Adobe Creative Cloud will be limited to Full-time and part-time faculty and staff only.
Faculty and staff who currently have Adobe licenses should not experience any change to their access. Licenses that are not used within 90 days of initial login will be automatically removed but may be reclaimed later by eligible users if still needed.
Options for Ineligible Users
- PSOM Students/Student workers: PSOM departments may purchase licenses for students through the Office of Software Licensing via the Adobe VIP program (budget code required). For more information, click here.
- Emeritus faculty and all other non-eligible users: Licenses may be purchased directly from Adobe. More information is available at Adobe.com. Bulk licensing is also available through CDW in the Penn Marketplace.
