Diego Mendez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez in 2021. Diego's mentors are Andres Blanco and Christopher Lengner. He applied to PREP to better prepare himself as a scientist before pursuing his Ph.D. He has enjoyed the professional development PREP has provided that has supported his growth as a scientist.
Marisol Hooks graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2021. Marisol's mentor is Shelley Berger. Marisol applied to PREP to immerse herself in a research project and to develop her scientific expertise and skill set.
Miguel Rodriguez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Miguel's mentor is Joseph St. Geme. Miguel's favorite part about PREP so far is learning more about his research interests by going to journal club, and the opportunity to practice wet lab techniques.
Pedro graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras with a BS in cellular and molecular biology. He is working in the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Epstein.
Raffee Wright graduated from Brown University in 2021. Raffee is mentored by Paul Gadue. Raffee's favorite part about PREP is the ability to conduct research independently for a project that he can truly consider his own.
